Fold Over Boots Mid Calf Suede Platform
The R39 Talia radiates confidence, and it is the most distinctive pair of fold over boots in the collection. Handcrafted from premium suede in Taupe and Black, the shaft folds over on itself so the boot drapes rather than stands, and a whipstitched seam runs its length. Underneath, a platform sole carries the front of the foot and a stacked block heel sits under the heel, which is what keeps a boot this substantial easy to walk in. A padded insole means the comfort is genuine rather than claimed, and the fold can be worn up or turned down.

A slouchy shaft only looks right if the leather is soft enough to fall and firm enough to hold a fold. That is a suede decision made at the tannery, not at the sewing machine, and it is why the Talia uses a heavier nap than the rest of the collection. The whipstitching along the seam is worked by hand. Worn folded down the Talia reads as a relaxed pair of suede boots, and pulled up it becomes a taller, more deliberate line, which is why one pair covers two very different looks.

Can the shaft be worn different ways?
Yes. The fold can sit high for more coverage or be turned down for a shorter, slouchier look, which changes the proportion of the boot considerably without any hardware.
Is a platform sole practical on a slouchy boot?
It is what makes it wearable. The continuous sole spreads weight off the ball of the foot, and the stacked block heel adds the rest of the height, so a boot with this much volume up top still walks lightly.
How do I care for the suede?
Protector spray before first wear, a soft suede brush afterwards, and no direct heat when drying. Treated this way the nap keeps its depth through several seasons.
