The U38 Thalia is where sculpture meets footwear, and it is the boldest pair of wedge booties in the collection. Hand-brushed Taupe leather wraps the foot completely and rises in a clean unbroken line, split by a sharp V at the vamp, and a zip at the heel opens the whole back so the boot goes on without a struggle. The sculptural wedge elevates both height and style, and its wide base delivers stability the dramatic profile does not suggest. A plush insole cradles the foot and the treaded outsole grips securely, so the drama stays entirely visual.

The Thalia's wedge is shaped rather than simply stacked. Its profile narrows through the arch and widens again at the ground, which is what makes it read as sculpture from the side while still putting a broad, stable footprint under the foot. Is a tall wedge bootie stable?
Yes, and considerably more so than a heel. The wide base gives a large contact area with the ground, and the continuous sole reduces the angle between heel and toe, so the foot sits closer to level than the height implies.
How does the V cut sit on the foot?
The V splits the vamp without loosening it, so the leather still holds the front of the foot and the zip closes the boot around the heel. It reads as an opening and behaves as a closed shoe.
What outfits suit a sculptural wedge?
Anything with volume or structure. Wide-leg trousers, heavy knitwear, midi skirts and tailored coats all balance the shape, while very delicate fabrics tend to be overwhelmed by it.
